Thesis (B.S.) -- Cagayan State University, 2024.
Includes bibliographical references.

This research addresses the pressing issue of limited access to electricity in Sitio Dumasag, Rapuli Sta. Ana, Cagayan, proposing a solution through the development of a micro- hydroelectric generator using the siphoning method. The study aims to construct the generator, test its battery-charging capabilities, and evaluate its voltage and power output.
Utilizing the weir dam in Sitio Dumasag, Barangay Rapuli, Cagayan, the developed micro-hydroelectric generator harnesses the siphoning method for efficient electrical energy production. The study demonstrates promising results through a battery charging test, revealing a steady increase in voltage, current, and power output over 10-minute intervals. The evaluation of the device without load showcases a notable voltage output of 23.54 volts. However, when connected to a load, such as LED bulbs, the voltage drops, accompanied by a decrease in RPM. Detailed observations are provided for varying numbers of connected bulbs, emphasizing the device's adaptability. Economic viability calculations showed a payback period is 1 year and 37 months, indicating that the system is currently economically viable.

Keywords: electricity generation, outdoor unit, siphoning method, renewable energy.
