This paper presents the design and development of
Ergonomic Adjustable Drafting Table. Anthropometric data were
collected from 6 students from the department that are
drafting majors which are different in heights from smallest
to tallest while sitting. The six anthropometric dimensions
that are measured in centimeters are the following ; Sitting
height, Sitting Shoulder height, Sitting Elbow height, Arm
reach and Preferred angle of the Table (degrees) . The
calculated data are used to measure and design to get the
recommended drafting table. The suggested Ergonomic
Adjustable Drafting Table features three height settings, as
well as a board that can be moved to six various angles and
is wide enough for students to work comfortably. The table
as an X-type support that allows for easy height adjustment
and storage.
