Thesis (B.S.) -- Cagayan State University, 2024.
Includes bibliographical references.

This research paper explores the development of an Internet-Based SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) System using Raspberry Pi 4 technology for automated lateral gate canals within the National Irrigation Administration-Iguig-Alcala-Amulung Pump Irrigation System (NIA-IAAPIS), employing an experimental research method. The study aims to address water scarcity. operational inefficiencies, and labor demands in the Cagayan Valley region by enhancing operational efficiency, improving water distribution accuracy, and promoting sustainability through mobile access to system controls, remote gate operation, continuous water level monitoring using HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensors, real-time data acquisition from INA260 Power Sensors, and integration of components like a stepper motor controlled by a DQ542MA Motor Driver. The conceptual framework integrates sensor technology, advanced control algorithms, and Flutter for Human-machine interface (HMI) design, following a waterfall methodology for initial hardware and software planning, comprehensive testing, and ensuring system reliability. Key achievements include enabling remote control via mobile devices, precise gate operation, continuous water level monitoring, and real-time data analysis in Firebase, significantly enhancing water management efficiency, reducing wastage, and increasing agricultural productivity. This study demonstrates successful integration of modern technology into traditional irrigation systems, showcasing potential advancements in water resource utilization and sustainability practices within NIA-IAAPIS and similar agricultural contexts.
