Summary, etc This study investigated the technical and socio-economic viability of implementing motorcycle ride-hailing services in Tuguegarao City, Philippines, as a strategy to address urban traffic congestion and improve mobility. A mixed-methods research design was employed, integrating commuter surveys, economic analysis, and traffic simulation using PTV VISSIM. Findings revealed that commuters placed high importance on positive factors such as convenience, cost-effectiveness, and reduced travel time, while negative perceptions such as safety concerns and discomfort were rated as less significant. The traffic simulation results showed improved traffic conditions with reduced queue lengths, delays, and travel times when motorcycle ride-hailing services were introduced Furthermore, the service demonstrated strong economic viability, with projected operator profits of up to P3,000 per day and a commuter benefit-cost ratio (BCR) ranging from 1.41 to 1.88. These findings suggested that motorcycle ride-hailing services were a feasible, efficient, and sustainable mobility option for medium-sized urban centers like Tuguegarao The study recommended regulatory integration, safety training, and pilot implementation programs to ensure successful adoption.
