| Summary, etc | Quality management studies assessing the road construction projects are still lacking (Willar & Trigunarsyah et. Al, 2022) Included in the lack of quality in road infrastructure is waste during and after construction projects Construction projects in urban areas are the origin of most solid wastes (Zaldi & Trigunarsyah, 2008) This research aimed to determine the relationship between the implementation of quality management practices to Waste management in road construction projects in Cagayan Third District. Engineers and contractors of 6 projects were interviewed through questionnaires using likert scale 1-5 for quality management and 1-4 for waste management The result showed that all practices under quality management have a strong positive relationship with the factors contributing to Wastes in road construction projects Upon analyzing the factors contributing to construction waste in road projects, it sums up and reveals to us that knowledge-related gaps, specifically those tied to human error and inexperience, are the most significant culprits. In practice, successful waste reduction relics not only on technical skill and appropriate tools but also on systematic planning, clear communication, and quality control mechanisms. The study recommends conducting more study about quality and waste management with expanding the local and increasing sample size. |
