| Summary, etc | The construction sector is a key benefactor when it comes to the country's economic growth. However, in a tropical country like the Philippines, workers often experience humid and hot conditions while working on a construction site especially cities like Tuguegarao City. The purpose of this study is to provide the construction industry a better understanding of the relationship of high-temperature conditions and labor productivity. The study contains on-site hourly measurement of WBGT data and labor productivity data involving 14 workers operating on a construction site situated in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on the months of March and April 2025. The data collected was processed and analyze using Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The developed model demonstrated results that explains the relationship between high-temperature and labor productivity. The study found that in every 1°C increase WBGT, the LPR decreases by 0.56586%. The model also revealed that the control variables (age and length of service) moderately affect LPR. The percentage for LPR decreases by 0.37179% in every year increase in age. Conversely, LPR increases by 0.23874% in every year increase in length of service. In general, the results showed that environmental conditions, specifically high-temperature, impose physiological effects on the workers' that led to decrease in labor productivity. Keywords: labor productivity, high-temperature, regression analysis, construction workers. |
