| Summary, etc | A Proposal for a Three-Storey Climate-Resilient Training Center at Cagayan State University - Aparri Campus - Buguey Extension. Research Adviser: Engr. Ronie M. Piedad This study proposes the development of a three-storey climate-resilient training center at Cagayan State University - Aparri Campus - Buguey Extension, in response to the institution's need for a dedicated facility for research, conferences, and in-service training. The research integrates both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to assess site suitability, structural safety, and cost efficiency. Data collection involved interviews with campus officials, site investigations, occupancy analysis, and the review of applicable national codes and sustainable design standards. Structural analysis was conducted using STAAD, RCDC, and STAAD Foundation Advanced software to ensure the integrity of the design under various environmental loads. Architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing plans were developed align with climate resilience, coastal protection, and energy efficiency principles. Key features include the use of corrosion-resistant materials, shallow foundations, renewable energy systems (solar panels and micro-wind turbines), thermal insulation, and water-saving fixtures. The estimated capacity of the facility is 125 occupants, based on projected growth from historical training data. The results confirm the attainability of constructing a safe, functional, and sustainable training center that supports long-term educational and environmental goals of the university. Keywords: Climate-resilient design, training center, structural analysis, sustainability, renewable energy, coastal infrastructure |
